题目:Whispering-Gallery Mode Microlasers

— From Microdisk to Square Microresonators

摘要:In the talk, we firstly introduce the applications of whispering-gallery mode microresonators, and then report the output characteristicsfor microdisk lasers. Finally, we will discuss the merits of square microresonator, and report the progresses on the mode characteristicsand dynamical characteristics for the square resonator microlasers.

报告人: 黄永箴研究员

报告人简介:Professor Huang received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 1983, 1986, and 1989, respectively. In 1989, he joined the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCAS), Beijing. In 1994, he was a visitor with BT Laboratories, Ipswich, U.K., where he was involved in the fabrication of the 1550-nm InGaAsP VCSEL. Since1997, he has been a Professor with ISCAS, where he is now the Director of the State Key Laboratory on Integrated Optoelectronics. His current research interests are mainly focused on semiconductor microcavity lasers, hybrid III-V/Si semiconductor lasers by wafer bonding, and nonlinear dynamics for microcavity lasers subject to optical injection, etc.
