I will discuss how cavity electro-optic modulators can enable efficient microwave photonics operations, including coherent conversion between microwave and optical signals, laser cooling of a microwave resonator, and electro-optic parametric amplification, by exploiting the analogy between electro-optic modulation and optomechanics.
